Borrowed Body From In-Progress to Final Release

Hello!
How are YOU? Have you had a great week?
I have had an enormously exciting week!
By now you may know that Borrowed Body has been released as the LEAD SINGLE for the album Songs To Heal and Empower.
It's been an exhausting and thrilling time - I have been so wired for weeks and it now feels so nice knowing it is done and OUT IN THE WORLD. Go baby go!
Yet it's odd to know HOW TO BE. When I am doing a workshop or performance I KNOW what I need to do - to prepare, to practise, to be as calm and as FULLY PRESENT as I can possibly be.
Yet this process- of delivering work out to the whole world in a digital form is oddly unnerving and I don't really know how best I can be, except unsettled and yet deeply excited. It;s big though. It's GLOBAL. Hell yeah!
No meditation for me this week - oh no! But today, in the days after the release, I really really really needed to chill and I HAVE.
Fall in to my breath.
Yes. That.
This birthing and growing up metaphor is really apt - from the twinkle in the eye to the gestation, through to the many shapes and forms the song took under my guidance. Yet it has it's own life and I now let it go!

I hope you will notice there is so much that is different.
Not least the guitar input from the wonderful Giuliano Modarelli.
The composition and mixing process was long and complex for me, and I learnt an awful lot.
But when I took it finally to the incredible sound god Camilo Tirado and it got it's final polishing -wooooooo hoooooo!
That's the great thing about the generous creatives I have been lucky enough to work with. THEY HAVE MADE MY WORK shine.
It is crisp and clear and exciting.
I had loved creating and now sharing this song. I hope YOU love it too.
