The culmination of an R&D Award from Arts Council of England, this electrifying collaboration with internationally respected Italian guitarist Giuliano Modarelli, ‘astonishing’ pianist Al MacSween and virtuoso tabla player Sukhdeep Dhanjal is truly music of the world: combining Samia’s powerful songs, rooted in Ghazal and Indian classical music and fused with flashes of Arabic, Bhangra, Flamenco, Latin, World Folk, Bollywood, Eastern European, jazz and unparalleled improvisation to create a thrillingly ‘new genre.’

Released as part of a UK wide tour 2019, this CD includes an 8 page booklet of translations and original visual art.

'A sensual and melodic sound that touches the soul’  Debjani Chatterjee Brian D’Arcy Writing in Education

'Samia Malik’s singing in Urdu is gorgeous, as are her melodies, but gorgeous though these are her writing is even more striking. She writes in the Urdu tradition of sung poetry and takes it to completely new territory by giving voice to her own and possibly a generation of Asian women’s experience in Britain. It is wonderfully powerful writing'  lan Scott Resonance
